Less than 500 people are said to be residents of this quiet town, which make it the perfect secluded vacation that many look for!

Clay County Recreation Park:

Visit the beautiful Lake Chatuge and it’s TVA dam at this park. It is filled with hiking trails and other recreational areas fit for you and your entire family!

Jackrabbit Mountain:  This National Forest is a local favorite for the adventurous type. Come hike or bike the trails, camp, or just enjoy the great mountain air in some of their other recreational areas. Be sure to bring a camera!

Chunky Gal Stables: Come relax and take a ride through the beautiful Hayesville scenery. This family owned stable offers guided trail rides, as well as boarding for those who cannot leave home without their pals. They also offer lessons.

Cherokee Homestead Exhibit: Come taste a little bit of history at this Homestead Exhibit that houses multiple Cherokee houses, as well as other interesting things. This site is open 24/7 and can be accessed at any time.
Evening Farmer’s Market: The Evening Market provides produce and other products from all around. The Market is open every Thursday from May to October. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to be updated about upcoming events happening here!
Old Jail Museum: This old jail was built in 1912 and is open for viewing of the public. Come see what jail time was really like back in the day!
Walnut Hallow Ranch: Come experience the rancher life at Walnut Hallow Ranch. Take the farm tour and see what goes into running a ranch or just visit their farm store!
Eagle Fork Vineyards: Eagle Fork Vineyards provides wine tasting at their winery and our beautiful tasting room surrounded by the wonderful view of the mountains that and to the mountain stream that flows through the vineyards. Bring a lunch, your children and your pet and enjoy the day. Look for rubies or garnets in Eagle Fork Creek or just lay back and enjoy fine wine surrounded by the beautiful vineyards and Mother Nature at her best.
